Fantastic place to go for brunch! Situated right on the north side of Madison Park with two story windows to illuminate your view. This restaurant is designed to make you feel like you are up in the ski areas of New England. Perfect brunch menu from avocado toast to eggs and other savory items. Food was delicious. Great for large groups with a huge sitting area that is spread out in two rooms. Service was on point and served with a smile! Has a few elegantly appointed private rooms for special event dining. Great dining choice for the flatiron area!

Phenomenal! Went last Christmas Eve and we were blown away by service, food and ambiance . Just came back from another NYC visit and couldn’t not go again . We asked for the waiter , Haymen who took care of us at Christmas . He was available and served us again . He remembered us and once again made our evening special. Food was better than we remembered! Black Barn is now our must go to when I’m up visiting Best Braised Octopus !

As I go now often to NYC to work out of our office in the Flatiron district I love to go to Black Barn, it has really become one of my favorites near the office. This time we went for dinner and we had : Butternut Squash Ravioli Eight-hour Beef BBQ Ribs Crispy Skin Amish Chicken Rum Butterscotch Bread Pudding All really good and super tasty, I would highly recommend it, very nice staff too ????

This was a great eating experience !! The service was impeccable and the staff was well trained and friendly. There is a great selection of wine and can satisfy the most discerning vinter. I had the ribs and the preparation was well executed. All of the food was prepared perfectly and was delicious. It is not inexpensive but worth the visit and is a memorable experience. The atmosphere is roomy which is uncommon for the city and a welcomed change. The decor is rustic modern as very comfortable. Large groups are easily accommodated and there are ample private spaces for large groups who want some privacy. Go and enjoy this wonderful dining experience. Well Done!!

Chef/Owner John and his team are truly remarkable. Some of my menu favorites include the mushroom toast, the ravioli, and who can complain about the Tomahawk Steak?!!! Five stars all the way. I wish there was a way to add a sixth!

The people in restaurant are extremely friendly. I was there last night with friends and I was taking photos, the lady in front showed me the whole restaurant inside out. So I can shoot nice pictures. Good is delicious. I never know olive salad and cucumber salad can be this delicious. The waiter and the people in the kitchen are so nice. Wonderful place.

I been to this restaurant 2x for brunch and it never disappoints. The place it's very big and I like the clean elegant decor. The food it's always great and I love that you can taste the quality of the ingredients. I had the breaded chicken sandwich and not only was it delicious but a very generous portion. I will definitely come back next time I'm in the area.

This is a good all american classic brunch spot. It wasn't too crowded but there were a decent amount of people. I got the salmon tartine but I would come back to try the burger and other items. Reasonable prices and great service! They also gave us complimentary mini honey corn muffins- delicious!
